So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

Postby Polerand » Wed Oct 22, 2003 8:38 am

I've canceled my account. There is not enough time an a 24 day for me to play Clan Lord anymore, or even think about it, for that matter. I wish I did have more time to play, because I think it's in for some good steps forward.

It's been a long, crazy 5 years and I've certainly learned a lot (I am now counting my own ranks -- I have over 900 in Jackassus) and it's been great fun for the most part, so I'd like to say a few thanks. Thanks to my clan, Rising Claw, first off; they're awesome. Thanks to the fellow players for all the bizarre characters they've created (or, the bizarre characters that they are) for adding so much to the world. Thanks to the scripters and all those other behind-the-scenes types that don't get enough of the love. Thanks to the GMs for doing their GM thang and putting up with Polerand /bugs and /prays (although, whoever's in charge of the smite list is a slacker). And thanks go out to PWC Jo Ma'ril -- blame Polerand!

Rock on you mad, mad world.

Fare well, Polerand. We'll all miss you -- and not just because we need someone to blame!

The original story Brune's referring to was in Joe's assorted-ramblings mailing list. Only subscribers can read the archives, but the list is not that frequent (hey, it's Joe, right? :)) and often pretty amusing, so you might want to subscribe anyway.

Yes, that's the best Pole Cat quote of them all. Good luck with everything you do, Polerand. Thanks for all the laughs.

Polerand was one of my favorite characters.

Aww, sorry to hear you go, Pole. Have fun whatever you're doing, and pay a visit back to us once in awhile, eh?

Jo'Maril yells: "Polerand is a healer!"

Drablak says: " But I saw him the other day and he's not a healer..."

Jo'Maril says: "Polerand is SO a healer!"

Thanks for all the laughs and also for taking all the blame

Nopey's beard is soggy from tears, and, as usual, it's your fault.

We'll miss you, old pal.

"Lykke p¬ reisen."

You will be missed. But didn`t you quit once already? You know you have atleast one more "quit" before we call it quits. I think.

Hugs

Yeah that Jo guy is on crack.

Bye, Polerand, but don't think this absolves you of any blame, future past or present.

Bye, Polerand. You'll be missed.

Don't forget... if it's all your fault, then that includes the good as well as the bad. ;)

And the things you learn, too little too late...

I blame Polerand for the lack of hours in a day. It's his fault you have to leave, so long.
