During the trial of Wangah Rah vs. Kerrah Pe Ell's befriended Kitten (grats BTW) was accidentally taken with him to jury duty. Here is the end result before Daimoth put an end to the suffering.

There has been a change in the behavior of many Puddleby Citizens. It seems that people are opting for their version of “fun” over “the right thing to do” more and more. Sadly, this is no longer limited to over-use of ethereal portal stones for simple convenience. Whether or not you like Wangah Rah, or mystics in general, the very justice system we built long ago has been perverted such that popularity rather than justice now wins a trial.

As an observer in Kerrah v. Wangah Rah, it was clear that many people voted against Wangah simply because they do not like him. Although some argue that Wangah is in some way responsible for recent ethereal storms, or that he is possibly racist against Fen, no objective evidence for this has yet been offered. On the contrary, he has worked to close ethereal riptures whenever they have formed. What was evident, however, was the clear rejection of obvious facts when Pe Ell’s kitty escaped and killed most of the jurors in that trial. In death, Wangah was dragged by Kerrah to many different locations across the lands, with the clear intent to isolate him from healers. She sunstoned many times, on the public network, requesting ideas for locations to hide and isolate the body. At the time of voting, it seemed no accident that the surviving jurors were almost all Fen. Based on this and other observations, one might more effectively argue that a group of Fen has been conducting a careful, and rather subtle campaign against Wangah for some time now.

Even more recently, another trial was brought against Wangah by the Fen VP, Largo. As in the previous trial, Pe Ell’s kitten was accidentally brought to the juror box once again. It went on a killing spree as it did before, cutting through jurors like a knife through butter. This time, the Fen Kalian pushed and pulled weaker citizen jurors into the feral kitten’s path, despite attempts to escape or hide behind various barriers. And when it was over, not only was Wangah found guilty by the remaining jurors who were still alive (again, being largely Fen) but Kalian was found later bragging at the jail about how he immensely enjoyed the miscarriage of justice and his involvement in the slaughter of jurors.

I am not suggesting that all Fen are bad or evil. But Kerrah clearly lied in her trial, Largo’s case was clearly frivolous, and the sheer mad joy Kalian expressed in killing fellow citizens in court was horrific. I am saying that it’s time for Puddleby citizens to snap out of their collective ignorance of law and justice, and treat the court system with the respect it deserves. Otherwise, it becomes a tragic, perverted joke. Remember why we built a court system with a peer jury system, rather than rely on the Emperor’s form of “justice” we all experienced prior to our exile. Vote based on evidence and fact, and do not disrupt the juror system simply for your own personal “fun” whatever your definition of that might be. Don’t vote against someone based on your personal perceptions and unsupported beliefs, or worse – your personal dislike of an individual. This is a community only so long as people treat each other with a minimum of basic civility and respect.

This is a bit misleading. If you don't vote (like those who were fallen could not), it is counted as an "innocent" vote.

My kitten Stripe likes to get some fresh air - she is not fond of being in my stuffy small house for very long. I think the Court should probably make sure that no friendly animal follows its master into the Courthouse - with us unallowed to have weapons while kittens cannot be declawed, we are at quite the disadvantage with Stripe gets cranky.

I tried to calm her down again, but the court *did* disallow me from making friends with her again. Strangely.

When the Jury was removed from the Jury box, Stripe was left behind. I'm sure she's lonely and hungry - I would be wary to be on the next jury in there!

It's interesting that you say this with such remarkable assurance. Either your memory is flawed or you are lying. In fact, I departed and was recalled alive just in time to make my vote - so I *did* vote. As we were shunted back into the juror box, the kitten killed me (and other jurors) again.

It is troubling to see such an anti-Fen sentiment rising in the lands.

Wangah Rah was brought to court because of his misuse of his powers as a Mystic, possibly because of his holding a dark stone, as well. Using ethereal means, he kept summoning creatures to Town Center. Regardless of how he much his attempts were discouraged, he persisted. While most of what he summoned were not dire, the intent of his incantations were of harmful intent. Largo, being the upstanding Fen VP he is, took Wangah to court to try and further discourage his activities. Not a frivolous case at all.

For some odd reason, the courts failed to summon any jury, and it was declared a mistrial. Largo brought the case again and was successful in getting a jury. Unfortunately Pe Ell brought along his pet (really, this shouldn't be allowed) and the kitten did cause some injury, but not like the "knife" that Eil'daen suggests. Despite the distraction of the cat the jury found Wangah guilty. As for Kalien's alleged behavior, that is something aside from the procedings and potenially will need to be looked into.

Following his too short a stint in the jail, Wangah continued to deride and threaten the citizens of Puddleby in Town Center, singling out some of the Fen in the crowd and insulting them as well. If Fen law were the law of the land, Wangah Rah would have more dire consequences than 23 minutes in Puddleby jail. Wangah has also threatened to kill several members in Puddleby in the past. Clearly his behavior is that of a truly disturbed individual.

Fen'neko in Puddleby have been and continue to be upstanding citizens. To suggest otherwise is to be deluded, as Wangah is.

It is my suggestion that followers of Wangah abandon their devotion to him. He does indeed need help, but not the kind that will promote his twisted cause.

when I voted only you and Althea were still in voting place. Althea voted and said you were still there. I guess it is possible you voted, and if you did then no one didn't vote.

There wasn't a frivolous thing about my case. Wangah did pull my hair and summon Orga. Believe it or not, he was found guilty because he was guilty, not because nobody likes him.

This is from the official report I had to write for Noivad:

Wangah Rah, a caustic exile well known for his myriad anti-fen statements, dangerous summonings, and shady use of necromantic artifacts, called hordes of vermine and dozens of earthquakes the other day in a gross attack on the safety and freedom of exiles.

When confronted about this by Vice Fen President Largo, best known for his friendliness and attractive wardrobe, he responded by pulling the politician's hair and summoning orga to attack him.

Largo, ever the champion of justice, brought the matter to the attention of the Puddleby court. Wangah was found guilty of "assault and summoning orga" by a jury of his peers.

Upon his release, Wangah began swearing revenge, shouting racist statements against fen, and trying to summon more hostile creatures. Though his efforts were thwarted by the brave efforts of several exiles, the mystic continued to threaten Largo with everything from physical violence to turning him into an undine.

Wangah Rah was last attempting to spit on Largo and stalking off to the library, possibly to plot his revenge.

Exiles have been quoted saying that "Wangah should be cast out of the mystic circle", and that "Largo is an effective deterrent of evil in the lands [that] brought justice to wrongdoing on this day".
