Town square doesn't have an "auto clean cycle." Just off topic, forum games, and hunting hall.

Unless of course Vagile decides to change her mind on that...

Don't forget!! If you are a full Book 1 pathfinder (130 ranks) and need Book 2 training, figure out how to make it to this event. I don't know when we (LA) will sponsor another trip, nor when the next trip will be.

Date: SUNDAY Oct 26th
Time: Eastern: 2:30pm, Pacific: 11:30am,
……… Chicago: 1:30pm, Denver: 12:30pm
……… London: 6:30pm, Paris: 7:30pm
……… Tokyo: 3:30am Monday 27
……… Sydney: 5:30am Monday 27

Duration: 2-3 hours.

We will have porting mystics, plenty of them! You will need to share a mystic!

No tips required, as that is already being taken care of by Laughing Academy and the many generous donations from UoP, a Snow Lemming, Dwarven Militia, Falinea's Blade, and many more!

Party afterwards!

Here are my visionstones for the Book 2 trip that Hunter led several months ago:

March 17th trip to Book 2 (link will be good for 7 days)

The visionstones are broken into 30-minute segments. If nothing else, watch the second one, which shows the mystic teleport.

FYI, Fundin put together a lot of maps for PAG:

list of all PC and SC maps
PC 1-5 overview
PC 6-16 overview
PC 6 - this shows the snell where the port will put you

In March we made it to Book 2 in 90 minutes, but keep in mind that that was a record time by a very strong group. Most of those people had been doing deep PC and SC hunts regularly. Getting that big and strong of a group would be great, but don't count on it. Also bear in mind that people may be rusty because no one goes that deep into PC any more.

I just posted an announcement to the PAG board and the OWE list.

Any other publicity planned? Is there a Koppi message? Has Thoomcare been contacted? Not everyone reads the Sentinel, so it's a good idea to use multiple ways to get the word out.

Koppi was posted about the time you posted this.
Thoomcare was also posted just today or yesterday.

The reset killed my Koppi message so it took me a while to recoup that.

my third circle fighter was one of those left behind at the teleport, thus having to depart.
also this trip took the time slot of the only hunt of the week.
to compound that trouble I had another alias for book one but it wasn't explained that it was possible to get there.

That's too bad, Faf. I watched the visionstones of the last trip so I'd know how to do the teleport, and I remembered from last year's discussion about it how dangerous the trip is.

Thanks to all who made the trip a success, I'm really happy Kallisto has book 2 now.

Your fighter had commented to me in town about this.

I think two exiles did not get ported (i think it was just two, sorry if it were more) and there were those who departed afterwards (PC6ish) when some exiles got us too fallen to be healed by the group. I know Baffina and myself departed when it looked hopeless for us in that group. We were the ones pummeled with extra webs due to a hurt exile re-chaining us after we were already safetly chained away. Frustrating in both cases.

For that port though: I confirmed the shares were good on my behalf - we had planned for Ansset to pickup the ones who did not make it on the first two ports. He was swept away with my port anyway although we had our shares how we understood they should work. We learned something unexpected so we hopefully will not repeat that next time. I don't know if you had the anchor shared along with myself, but i know you had me shared (as was the other exile) and i'm guessing you did have the an anchor shared. If you didn't that would explain why you didn't get ported otherwise it has to do with the landing. We did our best, plans don't always pan out. It was not intentional that we left you.

Asenath made available a way for return, but it required a trip through EP with some assistance after I had departed - that was not planned, just a spontaneous thing - but something she and I are capable of. Since there weren't those willing to take me (and anyone else) back through EP without a great deal of cost to myself or the group who sponsored the trip I went ahead and left as I had constraints on my time - although i'd have liked to stay and see the results.

For the depart: it should have been made clear that this type of trip there is always a chance of a depart for the entire or some of the party. The organizers should have probably mentioned this at the beginning of the trip. This is a dangerous trip.

Book1: Book2 trips aren't usually for going to book1 from what i recall, that was an unexpected stop - but certainly it was on the way. Book1 isn't so hard to get to, you might consider organizing a trip. Probably a point to the organizers to mention if they plan or they don't plan to have so people joining know.

I heard the trip was successful, that's great. I left a little early due to the circumstances for myself and a change to my time constraint. If another trip is organized, I would help any trip go to book2 if i can arrange the time, i have a need of the book 2 for study as well.

I thank LA for the Mystic support, that was certainly welcome. Thanks for the opportunity to make the trip. I'd only add to comment that this trip was not an entire success.

I'd also like to thank the trip sponsors and organizers. I think on the whole the group did a great job. Thanks to Blackhole, Talin and J'jh for great jobs at leading!

I spent a good chunk of the trip on my back but it was a good opportunity to watch without being distracted by having to do stuff.

It was a long run and thanks to everyone for sticking with it. I think a bunch of people got a great learning experience out of it and the next trip may be a good bit easier as a result.

Great trip! Thanks for organizing it, Inu. Thanks to everyone who came.

You can download my visionstones. (Link good for 7 days.) Of course, I spent most of my time as Reserve, so my POV might be a little dull compared to that of the people on the front line.

Sorry to hear that a few people were left behind in the teleport. There is a lot of information to absorb, and it's difficult when several in the group have never done it before. And perhaps, as K'vynn says, even porting mystics may not know all the details of what affects success.

It is a very tough trip. It's amazing that we made it all the way to our destination and back. It is definitely an epic trip that can easily end in departs for everyone.

it's not catastrophic for a fighter to depart
since it's a very dangerous trip with no (or almost) tag and so many people that it was one of the main reason why the teleport failed a rather weak one shouldn't be part of it (except if he/she wanted to access that book).
also why this time slot was used since there is so few opportunities for a free hunt, a change from the usual soloing.

First off I am very sorry to you Fafnir, I did not think we could afford a side trip to book 1, how wrong I was. I will be organizing another trip in a few months, as it took me a while to raise the funds for this trip. Again I thank you for your help and I am very sorry Gustave & StoneHand were left behind.

I learned quite a bit on this trip, but nowhere near enough to even think of leading one. I will organize another, but I will depend on the leadership of our experienced exiles to actually lead the trip.

Secondly, I wish to thank everyone who donated to the trip. Our great mystics were very appreciative of your support. I didn't coin this amount by myself, not by a long shot. I relied on the generous support of so many exiles who donated coins by the hundreds and even thousands in some cases. Yes the tip was big.

Thirdly, I am quite grateful to the support of the very experienced exiles, without whose help we would have never made it. I thought for a while I was wasting everyone's time with this trip, but we managed to have a break in I think PC8 and were able to raise all but the badly fallen. I am sorry that Baffina & Kvynn had to depart as they both were looking forward to training Book2.

Fourthly, I wish to thank everyone who was able to make it or tried to come (but had ooc stuff come up at the last minute). If anyone else can suggest a better time that is better suited for all who need Book2 please let me know. I will be happy to organize another trip, I just need a few ooc months to raise the funds. Also for the next trip, I will be hiring a couple of lib horus and paying for about 10 RHPs in advance.

Finally, I owe a few healers some RHPs (actually I am compensating in coins).
Kitlin (contacted), Suu'ub III (2), Retolyk, J'jh, Talin.

Once again, thank you all for supporting this double overtime trip!!

Re: Book 2 Trip - around Tsrrin

Thanks to all involved in arranging the trip; it was a lot of fun, even if I could not stay until the end.

The teleport had a couple of glitches, but it's always a chancy business. My own stone flaked, but I don't think I dropped anyone. But worse, although Ansset was intended to be held in reserve for anyone K'vynn might drop to a flake, break or mis-share, he was dragged along unintentionally, leaving no one to ferry those left behind. We FMs discussed it afterward, and think we learned a nuance that had been overlooked previously, and it might even be a useful nuance to use in future trips. That's little consolation for the two who were forgotten in PC5, though, and I apologize for that.

I was also able to use a rather esoteric skill to allow latecomers to join the group in the deeper Pitch caves directly. I hope they helped make the trip a success. These mercenaries demanded advance payment to help us, and I paid their outrageous fee of 10,000 coins myself to hasten them along. I will be happily accepting donations to make up this cost, if you feel the trip was worth something to you.
