Checkmark macro?

Post by Dyaus » Tue Nov 02, 2010 8:25 pm

Several months ago, I tried to create a macro that would do just one thing: spew out a checkmark. (I think it's technically the symbol for square root?) √

On a Mac, I recall it being an easy keystroke to type. But now I'm on Windows, and I wasn't able to save a checkmark macro without character set related errors. Does anyone know a way around that? Or perhaps an easy way to type out a √ (without alt+numpad nonsense)?

Tried that, couldn't save the text file. Have you done it on Windows?
