Now that "Boostus" is here to stay, the "tagger dagger"...

It's still the very simplest solution to getting new players ramped up and playing with the rest of the community.

A variation on the shiny dagger that always hits but does exactly 1 Histia worth of damage (or whatever the smallest increment of damage is). Stops working past a certain number of ranks.

I know it's not the ideal solution as it would teach newer healers and mystics a playstyle that they won't be using later on, but it would STILL be the easiest way of making it at least possible to bring a new healer/mystic closer to community level without baking them in the library for ~5 years.

Personally, I get the feeling that Boostus was their response to such a suggestion. Just my 2 cents though, but I'm a currency manipulator

Good idea. We need new players to catch up within months to the current content, if possible. We can't afford years of grinding any more. No player should be expected to do that.

As happy as I am that he's here at all, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure fighters are the only ones who will really get the most out of what Boostus offers.

Does lib exp count, at least, or is it just tags and maybe shares?

FWIW I'm beyond Boostus' training. Haven't hunted for a while (life and slow internet speeds have gotten in the way) but after a few years of grinding it'll be interesting to see where I'm at. I think I'm stiing on roughly:
- 600 evus (that 'pass circle 3' requirement)
- 600 BB (enough to hit anything pretty much)
- 500 histia (which has allowed me to solo that island with the sasquatches... sasqs and baltoises are still vanqs so this is some okay solo exp)
- Decent regia (no longer waiting an hour in between swings)
- Full Rodnus (helps out my horus-heavy healers a lot)

... somewhere between 1500-2000 ranks I'd estimate all up.

While there has been a lot of grinding and (IMO consequential) cynicism from me, I reckon it'd be great if people could get to about where I am within a year. I'm by no means 'strong' but I suspect my character (with some semi-decent clicking/social skills... sorry I can't help with the 2nd one guys) is now enough to join hunts without being too irritating.

In about 8 months our house will get faster internet (area is being upgraded). Hopefully by that time Boostus has helped a few newbies get to my level and we can do some serious hunting!

If you are at less than 2000 ranks, you are not beyond Boostus' boost range.

While that's good to know, the big question is whether or not it affects share exp, lib exp, etc. or is it just exp from combat?
