Introducing: Clan Lord Spoilers

Post by Phroon » Sun Feb 22, 2009 3:06 pm

Clan Lord Spoilers
http://cls.phroon.net

Clan Lord Spoilers is, as its name implies, a spoiler site. It is intended to become the central repository of all knowledge of the Clan Lord world. At CLS, you will find General and Item information, Maps and even Quest Solutions.

It is, however, incomplete. There are many things for which information is either lacking or completely missing in CLS. It is my hope that by taking the site public enough people will join in my effort to flesh out the missing information and help complete the site.

The first goal of CLS is to reproduce the efforts of Eyes of Puddleby as a central repository of maps. With the maps page, we are very close to that goal.

From there there are many entries on the To Do page which need to either be made or filled with more information.

It is my hope that this site will contain more than just solutions to quests, but also how one goes about solving a quest. The 'Thought Process' for the quest, as it were, so that future generations can build not only the knowledge of the past, but also examples of how one acquired that knowledge. Also, in some instances I have not yet posted partial solutions to some ongoing world-quests, as the solutions presented would be mere speculation. I would prefer complete solutions at the moment, but eventually there may be a place for true interactive collaboration on CLS.

At the moment, only people with accounts can edit Clan Lord Spoilers and only I can give people accounts. For the short term the site will remain this way as to prevent any knee-jerk edit wars.

Many people will undoubtedly find the existence of such a site distasteful. Even Game Masters who became aware of the site earlier have expressed some level of distaste and disappointment in my decision to form this site. So, let me explain my motivations. I believe adamantly that knowledge is built on the shoulders of giants, that one takes the knowledge of those that came before you and then takes the next step. That without collaboration and the sharing of knowledge, a society will crumble. I believe that the practice of keeping secrets just to keep secrets is fundamentally flawed.

So, therefore on this day, February the Twenty Second, Two-Thousand and Nine, the two year anniversary of the promotion of the last Full Mystic, I hereby renounce the chains of secrecy and commit my devotion to the sharing of knowledge by announcing to the world the existence of Clan Lord Spoilers.

Awesome.

Stuff I'd like to see:
Horus training required to raise a fallen per message.
Combination Trainer constituent mix.
Mujin's ranks.

I'm looking forward to getting some of the rank-analysis that's been done over the years by several exiles on there. And I think I also have the inter-rank messages completely wrong.

I'll put those on the list.

This is a great site for its purposes. The maps alone are gold. There is much that doesn't fit into the CLUMP's mission, that here make perfect sense.
