What version of QuickTime are you running? (Open the QuickTime player in your Applications folder and pick "About QuickTime Player" from the "QuickTime Player" menu.)

And I assume you're using the OSX client?

We don't have a v416 Windows client yet. I've asked the Arindal developers for one, but I don't know whether they want to continue the testing right now, or when they'll be ready to release the client permanently. I'll let you know when I hear anything.

It's a fine idea, but technically difficult. At the moment, neither the server nor the client knows anything about how a sound is used, and some of them are used in more than one way. (A splash might be an ambient noise in a wet cavern and an attack noise elsewhere. The horn sound is used for lots o...

To all who are testing the Windows client: If at all possible, please record a movie of any bugs you encounter and send it to me with your bug report. If you can't manage that, a screenshot would also be helpful. This includes any bugs you've already reported, since none of them came with movies or ...

Windows beta test: accepting applications *this weekend*

If you play Clan Lord under Windows (or if you used to play, have an active account, and would play again if you had a client), you are eligible to become a beta tester for the Clan Lord Windows client developed by the fine folks at Arindal, if you're quick. The client is in its final stages of test...

Re: Bug with Channel Master/Minerals

Thank you! This is what we had been trying to get out of you for those other two threads and all the bug reports. ;) I'm sorry about that. The bug reports kept sounding like they were describing something else, something which isn't a bug. The fighter subclasses aren't "mine", so I didn't pay as mu...

Re: Bug with Channel Master/Minerals

Either the "what's new" is completely wrong and there is no channel master in fell blade training, or the trainer messages and "/reflect" command are both broken. The trainer messages are correct, but they don't work the way you think they do. Fell training isn't giving Channel Master training the ...

The client knows very little about an area. The server tells it pretty much everything about what to show where. Additional OpenGL effects, on the other hand, are handled entirely by the client. My guess would be particular images or sounds that the Java client can't handle properly. Perhaps unusual...

v414+

A quick restart this afternoon fixed some bugs introduced into Untrainus in yesterday's Chaos Storm. A few other things affected by the same bug were also fixed.

v414 Assorted fixes to the ships over the last two weeks culminate in the latest batch, which let you enter a waiting room without a ticket, acquire one while inside, and be put on the next boat just the same as if you'd had the ticket when you went in. (The ships were written back before /buy exis...

The one problem I'd expect from doing this (if my guess is right about how tickets work) is that if you board at Puddleby with 2 identical tickets in your pack (for a round trip) and you fail to leave the waiting room in Peaceton before the boat leaves there on the return trip, you will be automati...

As of about ten minutes ago, I believe that all the ship-related problems I've heard about have been fixed. People who went to sleep in a waiting room, on the ship, or in the ship library should be properly sent where they need to go, *if* they hadn't logged on yet when the problem was fixed. If you...

I don't know. This ticket didn't get me on at all... I think its broke. Yes, it's broken. See the first post in this discussion. Tickets are good for any trip. The waiting room is supposed to put you on the next one to set sail, but for some reason it set people up to go on the one after that inste...

Say, if you log off in the ship's library, and the ship leaves while you are studying... You will be booted off the ship? Must you be logged off in the waiting room in order for the ship to take you along when it leaves? No, if you have a ticket and you're either in the waiting room or on the ship ...
