Re: Modern(ish) graphics!?

Wont work.

If you read the paper, it does not work well (or at all) on anti-aliased graphics. The vast majority of CL graphics fall in this category.

I'd read through some of this thread for my rambling on image resizing.

Re: So, is there ONE healer upgrade we can all get behind?

Chains did let me do resQs way above my level back in the day. They are NOT what made the healers less efficient at rescues than the fighters. As much as I like to hunt with rangers, and like all the goodies it brought, the shieldstone, fast running, and mowing through crap is what killed my chaini...

Re: What if healers could teleport a fallen with them into purg?

Then the next thing that would come from this is more areas where the pendant does not work.

And since I hate areas like that, I'm going to have to give this a "OMG awesome, but GMs will make their areas so it doesn't work, so I'd rather not"

Re: Silly Prometha Idea

This is the sort of random thing that GMs are supposed to do for invasions.

Random invasions with a semblance of a plot is nice. Just do it RandomInvasionGM.

I wouldn't think all undine would be able to block you, but with special cases like GP it may be appropriate.

Re: Healer survivability

Yup. I'd expect both a long cooldown and a long cast time. How long would it last? One full screen width at top exile speed would be nice. That's a few seconds, right? I'd have to think about how the AI would respond to you doing such a maneuver, but that might give you enough distance to get away ...

Re: Healer survivability

I think letting them hurt me when I do it will help with that. Yes, but putting the balancing factor in your strength is kind of weak. Unless the critters are faster than you, being able to phase through them is pretty darn good. Especially when they still block each other. Yup. I'd expect both a l...

The trick is getting you a way to get past the creatures without getting past the important creatures.

Re: Thoom eye color

IIRC, it utilizes the color of one's belt. It does not. It is its own spot on the sprite sheet. http://phroon.net/cl/thoom-colors.png You may want to double check your sprites: edit: is there a difference in eye sprites between the old and new thoom icons? There is. The person who made the new thoo...

Re: Thoom eye color

should be determined by hair color. No, but only because I don't want my eyes turing whatever random color I selected on the newbie walk. However, looking at the sprite sheet, it appears that there is already a dedicated spot for eye color replacement that's completely separate from hair color. It ...
