Come back to us Rieger! Such a dearth of tubby halflings these days!
Thanks, old friend! My clicker had an inspiration this morning and remembered the password. I came out the library and walked into the myrm hole and fell. That's where I am now. D'oh.

Re: v1042 discussion

It's been years--many years--since I signed onto Clan Lord. I just happened to check out Thoomcare tonight as I was cleaning up an old list of bookmarks and heard the news. It's been so long since I logged in that I don't remember my account passwords, nor how to reset it. I just want to say that CL...

fonts on windows client

A windows user who I got to try CL complains that the fonts are rather tiny. Is there an easy way to "fix" this? Thanks.

Kinda unimaginative that Stora is a halfling.

For some reason, this made me think of A Few Good Men when Nicholson is ranting (under oath I believe) about "saving LIVES!"

Ok, I think the GMs have heard you. You would be extraordinarily upset if you lost the "get home relatively quickly" benefit that EPSs provide. I bet they knew that already. Give them the benefit of the doubt here. If EPSs "stop working" assume that there will be a way to regain a similar benefit an...

I think Inu and I are both at that ambiguous point, we have about the same number of ranks. I worked hard towards second circle, so I don't have my skea or loovma yet. I'm grabbing a quick 50 each (at a rank a day) and then I haven't decided whether I want to do the ring or start my rather daunting...

I just needed to know how to make the most of my clanning time so I can become more useful sooner. I am working on some long range goals (foundation training), so my current training right now is not geared to passing 2nd, which means I am putting off horus until I finish my foundation training pla...

Re: How exactly does experience work for healers?

I must be missing something here. From my limited understanding of how you gain a rank, you must earn experience. In other words you must receive several of these messages "You gain experience" before you will earn your next rank. Those "You gain experience things" are teeny, tiny bonus experience ...

Not too many people know this, but Algy wasn't a bot at all. He was being clicked 24x7 by a very passive, obsessive compulsive person. That's why the GMs never objected, and why he seemed so much more real than an NPC or a bot. Perhaps he's not around any more because he's been released from jail or...

I wouldnt mind Inu or Skirwan making a healerbot. I probably wouldn't mind if anyone made one. I think those are two of the few people I wouldn't mind making a healer bot because of where they're coming from: a desire to help the comunity. I can't speak for Inu, but personally I'm trying to work my...

Hey it gives you an excuse to be an hour late (or is it early?) to everything for a few weeks. "Sorry I never got the patch for my digital watch, so you'll just have to bear with me during this troubling time."

Our company has been in urgent "DST reaction" mode for the last few weeks. We're really scrambling to get all the servers patched in time. Part of me wonders how this got shoved through Congress without people speaking up and moving the implementation to next year. If nothing else the IT folks in go...

Somehow I doubt the end result of all this will be simply "Yay we can use EPSes again without causing rifts." That would be pretty lame. I can imagine this playing out in a way that we lose the entire EP (that would be considered a real loss) while discovering/inventing new methods to get home quick...

Great example Xepel, and I agree completely. It's things like this that make all the RWing meaningful. Presumably people are getting stronger for a reason--so they will be equiped to handle new challenges. Well, I expect this storyline will generate some new challenges. And if we have to pay a short...
