Re: Clan Lord 2.0 - Gameplay designs

* 3-D worlds, richer graphics (texturizing - Steven Spielberg/ILM the I don't think that's so obvious. Clan Lord's graphics are the game's greatest asset. 3D is a good way to make a game look dated in a year's time. And it means I can still play. Otherwise it's peace out 'cause I've got enough nece...

I don't think Healers should have ANY Detha. That should remain a purely Fighter skill, and they should invest in Higgrus (which is better than Histia.) and self-heal if they want defense. I agree with Daimoth. The moonstone and slyphstone ring (that's how it's spelled, right?) combined with Higgru...

I think you should also need to have gone there X number of times in the past. What sense does this make? And how would you justify it IC? You know where to look for vines, which vines are the sturdiest, and how often the river surges, dependent on the season. Reasons aren't hard to figure out -- p...

The usual disclaimer applies, being a non-bard and all, but my understanding was that bard master wasn't necessarily related to how active one is in the lands generally, or even specifically as a bard, but ability to perform the administrative whatevers necessary to keep the bard guild running well...

You know after reading some old posts from the time when there were lots of clanners, perhaps it is best to not have that many. From what I gathered, clans had to compete for hunting areas, and there were some nasty fights back then. Without any conflict it's like we're stuck in Leave It To Beaverl...

And then the machines will take over and we're all just batteries and playthings. Haven't we learned anything from The Matrix?

I don't mind the bill notices, though I can see how others might; what I do mind is 4 messages just about my house bill as it slowly increases. Do I really need to see what I used to owe, since I owe more now? Just have the most recent bill override the previous one. And allow some to not see them a...

I'd say this episode is about 63.251% done. Am I the only one who finds this funny? "The episode is about " -- and then he goes on to list a very specific number? Good Gaia, I'm such a geek. More proof that we are all (but especially Hoggle) just MacroBots written by Gorvin. I'm malfunctioning and ...

Does that make any sense, or am I just rambling? Allow me to summarize: given the option between interacting with a player and interacting a bot, I prefer interacting with the player. And most/all when given the option between mending and anything else (including not playing CL) seem to prefer anyt...

A 3000 Evus fighter will have higher slaughter than a 3500 straight-trainer fighter. But less exp-to-rank. So, as far as fighters are concerned, it's all about trade-offs. I don't disagree with that observation, but I'm not certain of the conclusion. I would imagine a 3000 Evus fighter would have a...

Re: What's this with combo trainers?

Rounding errors due to the CL engine using integer numbers may account for the bonus in trainers like Swengus (something like 105%) but it does not account for trainers like Eva giving ?128% of a non-combo-trainer-trained rank. I don't think Evus' bonus is that high. I think the redundancy of atkus...

I just see it as a way for mystics to suddenly have <x> many skea ranks, all the time, no drawback.
Drawback? They have to be alive, up, standing, not fallen, etc. That sounds like a huge drawback for a Mystic.

My limited experience with Jorex has been positive. Would your log show if anyone gave Stora a nice /push? Well, no one would have to push Stora, just tell him to "walk <whichever direction>" into an open ethereal portal. As there's no one in the EP to tell Stora to do anything else, this would be ...
