Re: Windows client issues

I can only write about the Arindal client, but I guess its pretty much the same as for ClanLord. The rule is that you cannot start the windowsclient from the same path twice - two running clients on the same data files could cause some corruption. (It was a bug in the client, as this still worked.) ...

Come on!

Try looking here!

http://www.deltatao.com/clanlord/news/new.html

Its not so hard then to guess how to access the latest winclient from there.

Good luck 8)

Please note that you seem to be confused by the java client.
(jnlp is a java thingy and not related to the winclient, right?)

If java gives you trouble I am sure the real windows client works better.

If you are looking into playback rates of visionstones, I'd like to put in a plea for a faster "fast-forward" and more playback controlls in general. Ideally, I'd like some sort of variable-speed fast-forward/rewind, stepping up to about 8x. Actually the WindowsClient seems to support that - You wa...

Just a bit of information I know - the Arindal Windowsclient is in
beta and open for public testing. To preview it you can register for
Arindal and test it a bit.

I don't know the plans when it will be shared with ClanLord.

Cheers,

Its my understanding that the Java Client is developed on Linux. That it also
runs on Windows is pure chance 8)

I tried the 339a client in 10.3.3 - works great.

Then I upgraded to 10.3.4 and it crashed.

335d seems to work fine here (after a quick test). But... I dont see a difference in shadows at all. Soft-Edge? Hard-Edge? Overlapping? Do I miss something? For me all shadows look like the same for a long time..8) (Yes, I enabled "Special Effects"..) In any case its great that development continues...

Hello, 68k clients never supported autoupdate. You need to get the three update files yourself every two weeks. (Client, image update, sound update) And I had never ever heard of sound problems with Basilisk. On all machines I tried it it always worked out-of-the-box. Have fun, Hor
