Re: v1042 discussion

So... I haven't played in awhile, though life is reaching a stage where I might be able to again, and thus even I'm more sorry to se this thread. But, I understand the issues facing the GMs. I'm still thinking about what I want to add to the ideas here, but I did get hold of Joe and let him know. He...

Re: Drawing CL Characters

I would love a portrait! Eirian is a pretty solidly built Fen ranger. She mostly wears greyish blue shirts and pants. She is usually grinning either toothily in anticipation of a good fight, or wickedly at an off color joke she or someone made on the hunt, or at scoldings from Geotzou about being cl...

Re: Is Peaceton Dead?

Grems and I honeymooned in Peaceton. It was nice. We drove carriages around, fought Toks together; it was very romantic. ;)

Re: CL Event (15th year since the Rip War)

If there were events or some big event, it would be good to stagger them or make them last a good long while, so they covered several time zones. Maybe it should start with something dire and end with a celebration involving silly things like the carnival? And there should be a some commemorative it...

Re: Get Stora a pet

You might be able to walk him to one of the pets around town-- so many dead cats! Would he heal one by name? Would be interesting to try it. The stable, who knows!

RIP Fist of Fluff

I'm re-posting from the Facebook Puddleby Library Group: "R.I.P. David Doucette (HWC Fist of Fluff, among others). Only the old time players from 2000-2003 will recognize this player. Thought those who remember him would want to know he died tonight near Dartmouth, NS. Prayers go out to his family f...

Re: Add lots more exp spots

Interesting, since post people seem to think young healers have it the worst. But what level are you now? What are you vanqing that you can hit okish? (meaning, from the back, timing it). ;)

Re: Add lots more exp spots

I don't think so. The longer you play CL the more likely it is that other things begin to compete for your time over CL. There are exceptions of course. The good news is that people come back over the years. This happens a lot with people who start playing when younger; now many have families, or a...

Re: Book 1 trip?

That capped trainer tactic is key. If you aren't near the cap of bodrus or something like that, you can do a language; it will cost a few ranks, but then the rest will be stored. If you are still on the book 1 trainer and haven't switched, then don't! Just wait a good long time... maybe there is som...

Re: Book 2 trip?

It was a fun hunt, and actually went pretty fast after we got the hang of fighters hugging the walls in narrow areas till the lure, and then pounding the noids. :)

Re: Add lots more exp spots

As someone hunting in newer areas-- BP, BP snowy, around the bridge, etc, I have departed quite few times because of a nasty spawn. If Dai or Mujin had been there, ok, maybe not, but really, those are two players; they can't carry every tough hunt. As for exp loss; I really don't care, and no one el...

Excellent idea! The quests are fun and not only for the person getting the item. It would be nice if they happened more often.

Re: Revisit "Beautify Puddleby"

I would like it to be a bit seasonal--more flowers in spring, summer, early fall. Then they could shift to the autumnal trees, then snow, etc.

It could look nicer any season with more flora.

Re: A few minor tweaks that could keep more people in game

I like Hoggle's idea for ore a lot, and the idea of questing for subclass blades. While I doubt we will see salable pets, (sounds much harder to code) the idea of a blood minion or little golem or myr seem cool. I assume they'd have something like the spirit cost befriends do. I think higher luck fo...
